Sibshops are fun, creative, fast paced activity groups for the siblings of children with special needs or challenges. Sibshops originated from: The Sibling Support Project, Mr. Don Meyer, M.Ed, Director, Sibling Support Project, 6512 23rd. Ave. NW, Seattle, Washington 98117. Much of the conent originates from the book “Sibshops, Workshops for Siblings of Children with Special Needs.” Revised Edition 2008, Authors: Don Meyer, Patricia Vadasy.

Sibshops focus on free and creative expressions of ideas that the children themselves come up with and facilitators expand upon. Sibshops are not therapy but they can be therapeutic. They involve games, arts, crafts and snacks.
